Radiology tests



CT scan- with or without contrast soft tissue, blood vessels, bones
        Head - head injuries to check for bleeding, stroke
        Abdominal- check for bleeding, diverticulitis, cancer, internal injuries-bleeding
        Appendicitis, bladder stones, clots in lungs,
 


MRI- cannot have metal on them tests internal organs and structures
       injuries of joints, back and knees, spinal cord, Bones,
     

Ultra Sound- useful way of examining many body organs,
        heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, bladder, uterus, ovaries, unborn child,
        thyroid, scrotum, brain in infants, hips and spine in infants.
       

        Can use with pain of any of the above


x rays-
      Check for pneumonia, bone fractures, arthritis, enlarged heart, osteoporosis, constipation, tumors, dislocations of bones, shoulders, see foreign objects such as swallowing a penny,
